I think the reason why there’s such unicorn love out there in the world right now is that it’s really the idea of what unicorns are like and what they represent and not so much about a specific character out there who is a unicorn.
I think people love the idea of unicorns because when you think of them, you think about happiness and innocence and pretty colors and purity and youthfulness and love and freedom and friendship and fluffiness. And, when you think of all of those things, you can’t help but feel warmth and goodness run through your entire body as if your heart is actually tucked into a squishy little ball of sun that shines right through your skin and out into the world around you.
And, that is exactly what Katrin Davidsdottir does for all of us every day. She is exactly the person, the human version of this mythical unicorn, that she is portrayed as being in the public eye.
Katrin is that happy, that innocent, that pretty, that colorful, that pure, that youthful, that loving, that free, that good of a friend and family member, and that FLUFFAYYY…all the time, every day, every hour, evey single second we get to spend with her.
On this day every year, we get to celebrate the day this magical little unicorn entered the world and started spreading her sunshine like it was why she was put on this planet: so that we could all see what that idea of a unicorn is like in it’s real form.
And, that comes in the form of Little Miss Katrin Davidsdottir.
Happy Birthday, you beautiful little unicorn friend of mine. I love you and everything you stand for more and more every day I get to have you in my life.
