Why I love having this girl as one of my best friends.

image

WE MADE FRIENDS! Naturally, this turned into us talking this nice woman into coming to CFNE to train 🙂

Love this. Do NOT love when they take that foot file to the bottom of your foot.

Spent 10 minutes trying to figure out if I could somehow get all of these colors on my 10 finger nails.

Went with Coconut on my fingers, Pillow Pie on my toes. Best names everrrr.

Nope, that’s not a yellow submarine. It’s Katrin’s rental car.

Literally, never gets old.

I wish I could show you the picture and video these clowns were looking at of their bachelor party in St. Thomas. Boys are gross.

So proud of themselves.

Ben was even grossed out.

Katrin never ceases to amaze me.  She’s incredible.  Just when I thought she was a great girlfriend, she proves to me she’s even better than I thought she was.

It’s not even a big thing, but those are the things that mean the most.

So, I booked an appointment to get a manicure and pedicure for Bushey’s wedding this weekend.  I NEVER get my nails done; the whole thing stresses me out.  I’d rather spend my time training, it costs so much, you have to sit there doing NOTHING for so long, I can do them just as well myself, etc.

It’s great, though, when a girlfriend goes with you.  It’s just fun to sit there and catch up with them about whatever, and just be next to them in real life instead of texting or FaceTiming them.

But, when I asked Kat if she wanted to go with me, she said she didn’t need her nails done.  She had just gone and wouldn’t be up for another round for a week or something.

Immediately, she goes, “Well, I’ll just come and sit with you.”

What?  Who does that?  Who cuts time out of their day to sit next to you while you get your nails done?  It’s one thing to get yours done at the time so you’re at least doing something that you can check off your list, but it’s a whole other level when you literally just go to talk and do nothing.

Again, it wasn’t like a huge ordeal or anything.  But, it meant so much.

To follow that up, she texts me later in the afternoon saying, “Hey!  Do you want me to come over and help you hem that dress now?”

That’s like calling someone to see if they need a ride to the airport or if they want you to help them pack and move.  Not many people in this world offer those things up.  There are a lot of people that are willing to help if asked, but it’s rare that they “ask to help”.

Big difference.

Katrin is truly one of the best friends a girl could have.
