Before the new rug that replaced the one we’ve had for 7 years.
And, after 🙂 Huge thanks out to Allie Pfannensteihl for entertaining my 50+ text messages trying to figure out which rug to go with 😉
And, after I found the most fuzziest, coziest rugs for the kids to lay on since the 9×12 isn’t “cozy”. I’ve also always dreamt of layering rugs. It’s not exactly the look I was after, but it works for now. Also, have been wanting to clear out the toy bins under the coffee table so the kids can see their toys better and so it doesn’t look so cluttered underneath. So…
This piece was one of those things that I saw in Home Sense a week or two ago, but wanted to think about before buying. When I went back today, it was STILL THERE. That NEVER happens. And, I’m SO glad it was because it works perfectly for what I need it for.
And, shag is now my new obsession.
We clearly need more helmets…and, roller blades…because our family roller blades constantly. Actually, I don’t think we have roller bladed ONCE in the last 5-6 years. And, before that, maybe once in our lives.
Michelle Marshall hooked me up with this little gem so that I can blow dry my hair still post-surgery. Brilliant. And, I owe her forever for this. Now, I need an automatic curling iron.
Plaid Sunday 🙂
Ben took the little kids and Jonah to Connecticut to my family’s Thanksgiving day since Maya and I were booked up going to her field hockey banquet.
Fake glasses make the outfit.
I LOVE THESE PARENTS. They are truly the greatest. I don’t even know how else to say that.
So many speeches, so many laughs, and so many tears at the Girls Varsity Field Hockey Banquet at The Faulkson’s in Dedham Center.
This is, literally, the HAPPIEST team Maya has ever been on. They laugh, they dance, they sing, and they just make each other feel so, so loved. They are incredible.
How do I not post one of the all time WORST photos of Maya? I ask her to smile, and this is what she gives me. So, it’s going up. But, the heart plaque was actually my favorite moment of the night. Her coach, Maura Sullivan, did her speech for Maya as one of the seniors graduating…then, followed it with a special tribute to Maya’s character during the season given her situation with being injured and not being able to be on the field with her teammates. She said everything we were all thinking, and hopefully made Maya realize that she contributed more than Maya has ever been willing to accept. She was incredible and taught all of us so many lessons that we will never forget about handling and overcoming adversity. It was beautiful. Unlike this picture. But, beautiful like the real Maya 🙂 haha
